Lucifer season five, part two has just landed on Netflix and the latest season comes with a new wave of excitement. The fifth instalment was expected to be the last, but the show has since been renewed for a sixth and final season. A title card appears at the start of the new series, paying tribute to Craig Charles Henderson.

At this moment in time, it is not certain whether he actually worked on the series, or he was simply a huge fan of the show.
Craig Henderson only had one Twitter follower, who was showrunner Joe Henderson.
Craig did a fantastic job of raising awareness of the popularity of the show, and he was keen to see it survive another season.

Fox cancelled Lucifer after a three-season run and fans were worried that would be the end of Tom Ellis’s character.
However, a month later, Netflix picked up the series and it has since gained an even bigger following.
The title card also pays tribute to Arthur Melbourne Hooper, Tom Ellis’s maternal grandfather.
According to ethnicelebs.com: «T om’s maternal grandfather is Arthur Melbourne Hooper (the son of Gratton Melbourne Hooper and Minnie Ford).

The sixth and final season will consist of 10 episodes, but a release date remains to be seen.

The new episodes are set to bring plenty of drama to the small screen as Lucifer’s brother Michael (Tom Ellis), continues to wreak havoc.

Following Lucifer season 5 episode 9, there was a special title card that aired paying tribute to Craig Charles Henderson and Arthur Melbourne Hooper. So what can we tell you about them, and the impact that they had on the show family?
Let us begin with Arthur Melbourne Hooper. Episode 9 was very much about family, and it makes sense that a title card would pay tribute to someone Tom Ellis loved very much: His grandfather. Hooper lived to be almost 100 years old, and clearly lived a very full life. He was loved by many, and you can get a sense of that in a post on Instagram at the bottom of this article by Ellis’ sister Annwen. It is one that Tom himself commented on, noting how much their grandfather loved her. Tom had posted previously about his grandfather, celebrating his 95th birthday on Twitter back in 2015.
As for Henderson, unfortunately we have been unable to acquire any information on his connection to the show as of this writing. It is fair to assume, though, that the love the show family has for him is equal to that of Hooper. There is a significance to the two of them airing in a title card together, whether it be wanting their names to stand out at the start of the season or connecting them thematically to the story itself.
Airing a title card tribute is one of the most loving ways that a show can pay tribute to someone important to them, whether they be an actor, a crew member, or someone close to the show. These cards live on forever in subsequent airings, and can also inspire viewers to acquire more information and learn more about them. Family means everything, and that is something that the series emphasized throughout episode 9.

Ближе к финалу сезона (далее и до конца текста спойлеры) героически погиб детектив Дэн Эспиноса, которого играет Кевин Алехандро. И особенно в его судьбе печалит то, что Дэн из-за чувства вины попал в ад, а не в рай. Фанаты наверняка ждут, что в заключительном сезоне Люцифер Морнингстар (Том Эллис) как-то исправит эту ситуацию, ведь теперь он Бог.
В беседе с ET Online Алехандро признался, что о судьбе Дэна он узнал довольно давно. Актер был доволен тем, что придумали для его персонажа шоураннеры Илди Модрович и Джо Хендерсон, а развязку истории героя в 5 сезоне Алехандро назвал «действительно хорошим выбором и сильным повествованием».

The next batch of episodes offer up new revelations about God (Dennis Haysbert), while also shedding light on the latest developments taking place between Lucifer and Chloe Decker. Some viewers have already started watching, only to spot a title card dedicated to Craig Charles Henderson. So, who was he?

Unfortunately, Craig’s connection to the crew isn’t crystal clear. His name doesn’t appear on the credit list provided by IMDb. His second name led some fans to believe that he was likely related to Joe Henderson, the co-showrunner of Lucifer.
Craig only had a few followers on Twitter — one of whom was Joe. What’s more, Craig almost exclusively tweeted about Lucifer. He predominantly used the social media platform to call on fellow fans to keep their eyes peeled to the latest Lucifer episodes and do everything in their power to help get the show renewed.
«Great last two standalone #save Lucifer great job, Joe,» Craig tweeted in May 2018.
«Never giving up save Lucifer,» reads Craig’s last tweet posted in June 2018.
Some of his tweets are specifically addressed to Joe, which suggests that they were close.
Season 5B of Lucifer also paid tribute to lead actor Tom Ellis’s grandfather, Arthur Melbourne Hooper. Arthur died in 2020. Another title card was dedicated to Merritt Yohnka, an Emmy-winning stunt actor and stunt coordinator who worked on TV series like Rizzoli & Isles, Pretty Little Liars, and True Blood and movies like Captain America: The First Avenger. Merritt died from complications related to cancer in 2020.
Season 5B of ‘Lucifer’ expands on the characters’ relationship with God.
As Joe told Comic Book Resources, God’s arrival will bring about significant changes for characters like Lucifer.
«I think what’s so interesting about our show is that for the entirety of it, God has been this outside force, this unknowable force. So much of Season 5 has been about Lucifer reckoning with the fact that God’s not the enemy,» Joe explained.
«Early on, a lot of people thought that we were making God the villain. And to me, it’s just a father story,» Joe told Comic Book Resources. «Making God the hero of his own story, as we do to every character on the show, and exploring his own path of pain and heroism was incredibly important.»
As Joe also hinted, God’s arrival will push characters like Lucifer, who is pining for his dad’s job, Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), who is a father himself, or Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia), who recently overcame a crisis of faith, in different directions.

Выясняется, что Бог хочет покинуть известную нам вселенную и переехать к жене. На освободившуюся вакансию претендуют и Михаил, и Люцифер; Михаилу удается добыть Пылающий меч и привлечь на свою сторону большую часть ангелов, у Люцифера явно нет никаких шансов.
И все-таки Люцифер побеждает. Вкратце: во время битвы Михаил убивает Хлою, Люцифер отправляется за ней в Рай, вытаскивает с помощью кольца Лилит и сгорает в райском пламени — только для того, чтобы несколько минут спустя загадочным образом воскреснуть, обретя божественность.
Механику транзита власти сериал не объясняет; похоже, все дело в самопожертвовании Люцифера. Так или иначе, наш герой отрубает крылья Михаилу, а остальные ангелы признают Люцифера новым Богом.
Клиффхэнгер оказался неожиданным даже по меркам «Люцифера». Теперь единственный вопрос, интересующий фанатов — что вообще будет происходить в шестом сезоне, если главный герой уже стал божеством.
Впрочем, судя по отцу Люцифера (у него довольно много экранного времени), Бог в этой вселенной не вполне всемогущ и не совсем всеведущ. Почему бы ему и дальше не помогать полиции на общественных началах.
Пока у шестого и последнего сезона «Люцифера» нет ни даты премьеры, ни релизного окна. Мы знаем только, что он будет состоять из 10 эпизодов.
