License request failed for feature ptc creo что делать
Hi, my daughter tried to install the student version of Creo, however, when she got to the install licence section she hit enter and everything installed but obviously she had not input tje actual product code needed. We now get this error message and I’d like to know if someone can tell us how we can install this so that we can get the student version working and she can start to use the CAD software.
Any help would be appreciated
Do you (or her) have a license file from PTC?
Is the license file generated with the proper codes for her laptop? The NIC address is required, but on a laptop, there are multiple address. PTC has a check tool that will return the address that their code is looking for. IPCONFIG/all usually displays them all for comparison. If she is always on wireless, you can use the wireless address returned by the IPCONFIG/all command.
Do you (or her) know how to use FlexNET for license management? Once the code is installed, you can add a license to the code or change licenses. Pretty easy if you know FlexNet admin utility.
firstly thanks for trying to help.
I would be lying if I said the licence had generated any code. She got to the screen where the product code with the «install licence» button, at that point the mouse was over the install licence and she hit it, but there was not code in the box.
Do I go to the PTC site or the Creo site to find the check tool?
I’ve not used Flexnet and neither has she. I am not to bad around a computer to be honest, well if its explained reasonable well!
Since Creo is installed, the utility is too.
In the bin folder under your load point for Creo, \ PTC\Creo4m080\Creo 4.0\M080\Parametric\bin,
open a command prompt window and set it to that folder. Then run PTCHOSTID.BAT. This will display the hosted that the PTC code is looking for. If she is always on wireless, you should be good with that NIC address. If she is ever connected by wire, the active NIC address may change and not sure if Creo will still find the right one.
Once you have that, does she have a license file?
The license file should have these lines below the Summary Table:
Replace the __HOSTNAME__ with the host name of the laptop.
If FlexNET is installed in a standard location, this should work for the DAEMON line:
DAEMON ptc_d «C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\x86e_win64\obj\ptc_d.exe»
Rebooting the lap top should restart FlexNET and grab the right license codes.
These lines are configured automatically when you install the program with the license file in local location that the system can find.

this message comes up so i cant use creo.
not really sure what to do
i have fixed the problem by enabling my wifi, but i cannot use it when wifi is disabled
your license file (the path to the file is mentioned on your picture) contains a code related to network card MAC address A0-A8-CD-29-E7-12. It looks like Creo cannot locate such network card.
i cannot find A0-A8-CD-29-E7-12, there were 4 physical addresses; ethernet adaptor EC-F4-BB-36-D8-63, tunnel adaptor 00-00-00-00-00-00-00-E0 and two more the same. could it be because i am using cable instead of wifi?
To disable Media Sense, please perform the following steps:
1) Click on the Start button.
2) Type cmd in the search bar.
3) Right click on the cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator.
4) Run the following commands one by one:
netsh interface ipv4 set global dhcpmediasense=disabled
netsh interface ipv6 set global dhcpmediasense=disabled
5) After finishing the commands above, please run the following commands to check the results:
netsh interface ipv4 show global
netsh interface ipv6 show global
Please check if the entry “DHCP Media Sense” shows disabled or not. If it is disabled, it means the operations are successful.
Restart PC and check ipconfig /all output again.
License request failed for feature ptc creo что делать
License Request Failed for Feature
Problem Outline:
This problem is characterized by an error message that appears right after PTC Creo 2.0 launches. The error appears in a Creo window named «Warning: Message List» and typically has a large amount of text below the «License request failed for feature» which appears at the top. A screenshot of the message is shown below.
Solution:
This error appears when Creo is unable to effectively validate your license file. Often this happens when a license file expires, becomes corrorupt, is generated incorrectly or is deleted. Alternatively since your Creo license is tied to the Host ID of the first priority network card on your computer your computer may be using the wrong Host ID. Often, computers have more than one network card (wireless and LAN) and if one of the cards is enabled or disabled after licensing, the first priority network card and thus Host ID will change. If this happens, Creo will open with a message that says “ License request failed for feature ” and if you expand the Warning Message List dialog box, you will see “Invalid host”.
If you see «Invalid Host» in the Warning Message List dialog box then try this guide.
If you do not see «Invalid Host» or the above guide was unsuccessful, then use this guide to send Academic Support your license file.

Creo 7 startup
I downloaded and installed Creo 7 the other day and put in a new license file for Creo 7. When I go to start Creo 7, I get an AFX and IFX not licensed error and the program then exits. I do not have licenses for these products, so not sure why Creo 7 is looking to start them.
I then ran Creo 4 on the same machine (my Windchill server) and it started up fine.
Has PTC done something wrong in Creo 7 that is looking for licenses and then failing if they are not found, even if not license?.
Even on subsequent tries to start Creo 7, it will not start.
When I try to launch Creo 7, I get a Warning Message List box that says:
License request failed for feature
Invalid feature name: [FEATURE_NAME]
press OK and then 2 more messages with:
AFX failed to load [OK]
IFX failed to load [OK]
after that Creo 7 just exits.
From a fresh Creo 4 start up, I get this information:
License Name: PROE_Flex3C
License Version: 38.0
License Type: Commercial version, Floating License
From the license file:
#PROE_Flex3C X Creo Enterprise SE (formerly Pro/ENGINEE Creo 7.0 Flt Lic perm
# Serviceable = Creo Enterprise SE (formerly Pro/ENGINEER)
# Feature Name = PROE_Flex3C
# Feature Version = 38.0
please check the contents of parametric.psf file.
Two following lines must contain correct information.

1.] I am able to start Creo 7.0 with license which does not contain AFX and IFX modules.
