I had a similar problem. Below is the summary of the problem, cause and my actions to resolve it.
Unlike the answer by druciferre, my resolution does not involve drastic measures (i.e. recovery, reload OS, etc.) because the cause behind this is simply not that destructive to justify such measures.
Cause: The cause behind the message in the PreBIOS is the Intel RAID Boot driver, which needs to finish successfully in order for the BIOS to load. It normally should, but the HDD (Data drive) that is accelerated (in my case) had some junk cache that prevented it from booting up. So the goal of the solution is to clear this junk in the Data Drive.

В конце концов я получил данные с диска, загрузив live-CD с Linux. Кабель USB-SATA работал бы также.

I desperately need help!! This laptop is my life line as I work from it. I bought a Lenovo yoga C740-15iml laptop and from the time it was unpacked I’ve had nothing but problems. First issue, the screen would just freeze up and left me no choice but to manually shut it down. Now it is showing an error screen:
The operating system did not shutdown cleanly. Reconstructing Cache Metadata. Please do not interrupt this process.
It use to go thru this fairly quickly to windows but now it is literally taking hours and right now I’m not sure if it’s going to get to windows screen or not. Please help!

Run a Hardware Diagnostic from the Support Site.
Just plot in the serial number of the device, click the search icon and select your device, then click on ‘Diagnostic’ and run a «Simple Scan» and check for tools to run a Operating System Scan. If you get any errors not them down, then contact support.
Depending on the Warranty of the device, I’d suggest contacting Lenovo support for your country directly (mail, e-ticket, phone) or a certified technician center to see what can be done. Forward them any error codes from the diagnostic you did. Most likely it will have to be sent in to be assessed by an authorized technician.
If the device is within the return policy from where you bought it from, then I’d have a talk with them as well for a possible solution/refund/replacement.

Often when my computer is closed or the screen is locked, I receive the following message:

Everytime this process ends successfully and my computer starts back up. But the fact that I cant put my computer to sleep without it shutting down is frustrating.
I followed a previous post and followed these steps from the post:
Ran an extensive system test from F2
1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second.
When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3. On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
4. Click Extensive Test.
5. Click Run once, or Loop until error.
While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are
shown on the screen.
6. If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) so you have it
available when you contact HP Customer Support. The information is also available in
Test Logs on the main menu.
In Windows, search for Command Prompt. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Then click Yes.
In Command Prompt, type sfc /scannow. Make sure to include the space between sfc and the /.
Press Enter and wait while System File Checker scans for corrupted files.
When scanning is complete, the results are displayed on the screen.
The scan found corrupted files and couldnt replace them, so I used the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool. DISM checks the corrupted files; then downloads and replaces the files using Windows Update.
In Windows, open a web browser.
NOTE:
You need to be connected to the Internet to use DISM.
In Windows, search for Command Prompt. In the search results, right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator. Then click Yes.
In Command Prompt, type dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth. Make sure to include the space before each / in the command line.
Press Enter and wait while DISM works. This might take several minutes.
If DISM finds corrupted files, it replaces them using Windows Update. If this occurs, after DISM is finished, restart your computer and see if the performance has improved.
I did this and it seemed to not fix the issue. I made sure I downloaded and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant using this link.
Also ensured that my Windows Updates were up to date.
