There might be a few other reasons why it’s not working.

Ensure your Garry’s Mod is closed before doing any of this.

You can locate your Garry’s Mod file by clicking on Garry’s Mod (in your steam library) and pressing ‘Properties’. Then click on ‘Local Files’ and ‘Browse Local Files’. Then click on ‘garrysmod’.

This is simple:
1. Locate the map that’s giving you problems (this may be in the downloads folder of your Gmod files. Or the addons folder).
2. Move the file into the general ‘garrysmod’ file location. Note: Not ‘GarrysMod’.
3. Select the map and place it into the ‘maps’ folder. It should be with next to other maps such as gm_flatgrass and gm_construct.

This should then fix your problem.

Ошибка, под названием — Client’s map differs from the server’s — появляется из-за того, что вы, как клиент уже загрузили карту в директорию вашей игры на Source движке в каталог: *папка с игрой* → download → maps → *название карты*.bsp

Эта ошибка заставляет клиент игры считывает meta-данные той или иной карты при подключении к серверу и выдавать информацию клиенту, который подключается на сервер и скачивает эту папку к себе в компьютер.

Появляется она только в одном случае — когда на выделенный или домашний сервер загружается файл карты с этим же названием, но в изменённом виде.

Есть только один способ исправить ошибку — Client’s map differs from the server’s при подключении к серверу.

Вам нужно зайти в директорию с игрой в папку download → maps и удалить оттуда ту самую карту, на которую при подключении игра выдаёт ошибку.

1. Выключите игру.
2. Зайдите в папку с игрой.
3. Зайдите в папки download → maps.
4. Найдите карту, которая отмечается ошибкой при подключении к серверу.
5. Удалите эту карту.

После чего вновь подключитесь к серверу и эта ошибка исправится. То есть ваш клиент игры по новой загрузит или скачает эту карту и больше не будет выдавать эту ошибку.

I tried it, tried also to fix it in different ways, but I can’t fix it. I don’t know what is happening.

I’m not sure if you will have those but look for something like that.

nut-e: «Deleting it wont do anything, you have to verify game cache. It will fix it. So, go to steam client, right click cs go, properties, somewhere in there, there is a tab, with an option, «verify game cache» click it :)»

I’m trying to fix it in that way. It must work. Something is now downloading. Steam find 3 file problems, I think it will fix it now. 🙂

Ok so basically it explains itself whenever I try to connect to the server it gives me a message «your map differs from the servers»

Things I have tried:
1: Delete the map addon in my Garry’s Mod addon folder
2: Reuploaded the map to the server over and over again still wouldn’t work

Still, I have no idea what I’m doing wrong of uploading a map to the server.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\download\maps

Go there and delete it from your game

This is a popular problem that has existed for years, and there’s no clear answer to how to fix it unfortunately. I remember I had this problem a long time ago with a specific TTT map, but after some time and some gmod game updates, the problem eventually disappeared and I never got that error again.

Check that you are allowing all custom files to be downloaded from servers in:
Options > Multiplayer > Allow All Custom Files
