You may not have the necessary permissions to use all the что делать
Weird. I wouldn’t have posted this note had I not noticed something different. A Reaper admin. needs to look at it- I’m sure I’m not the only one this is going to happen to.
Tried it on a second desktop and second laptop- didn’t come up on those. Same OS on all, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (32bit on second laptop.
Who knows what’s up. Didn’t make any changes on Desktop 1 and Laptop 1, but noticed it right away.
In any case, I’ll just have to Run as Admin. with a right click if this keeps up in the future.
Thanks
Neil
Apparently this was the issue:
>>>>On my «old» Windows 7 I get a missing signature warning when opening the downloaded installer. Usually those files were signed.
Website hacked and I am screwed?
THEN:
>>>>Thanks! Looks like something broke on our build machine and it didn’t get signed! It should be fixed now (please test!)
Tested on two other machines after this, and now okay.
Had the same thing with 5.981 today (and the update before too), closing the installer and running it again went normally. Pretty odd!
edit: don’t laugh, 32 bit version.

I had this problem with my windows 7 pro
when I updated.
I had to get into BIOS and other things to
take over ownership with passwords etc
I bumbled around for a few days
Don’t ask me what I did that is the fundamentals of it.
The latest update (a couple of weeks ago) was when I needed to activate a plugin (my PC is off line.
After that update things stayed as they were so all good.
Windows must still be correcting things.
Before the first problem I had no passwords
after the first update I had to get around them in BIOS.
In the end I have one password to load and one to use Windows 7 Pro.

Check that Firefox isn’t set to run as Administrator.
Right-click the Firefox desktop shortcut and choose «Properties».
Make sure that all items are deselected in the «Compatibility» tab of the Properties window.
Also check the Properties of the firefox.exe program in the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\).

I have seen this question already posed in the forums about updating the latest version of Firefox, however I am not trying to update the version, I am trying to download the latest version of Firefox to Windows through Chrome. I click the download button on the Mozilla website and I extract the file. At this point the computer asks me if I want to save the file or run the file. I have tried to just run the file and the computer shoots out this message «You may not have the necessary permissions to use all the features of the program you are about to run. You may run this program as a different user or continue to run the program as the currant user». The window gives me two options, «Run as currant user» (which closes everything when I choose it), and «Run as administrator» (which leaves me with a user name and password which are always wrong). I can’t download Firefox and have tried alot of stuff. I feel like it is a security setting in my computer that needs to be adjusted but I don’t know enough to start randomly tinkering around.
As in all Forums. PLEASE HELP.
Chosen solution
A possibility is to open the Mozilla FTP website in Windows Explorer and download the Firefox set up file that way.
See «How To Download Firefox On a New Computer Without Using Internet Explorer»:
Another direct link:
Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) to see if that allows to install Firefox.

First, Download Files. This way, it there is a problem, you don’t have to download it again. You can always delete it later.
Are you the administrator for your system? With some high level programs, the computer only lets someone with administrator privilege to install such programs. Is this a work or home computer?
I am the administrator for the computer. The computer is a home computer.
If it is asking for a password then there is a user account that requires a password. I’ve seen it before where you don’t actually need to put in a password?
If you log off your computer, do you have to type a password to log back in?
Check your computers profile for you and make sure you are an the administrator
When I got to the screen that was giving me problems I typed in all the passwords that I knew in my head, I even tried entering with no password. I do not normally have a password for my account. However, I did put a password on my account and logged back in and tried again with the password I had just created and it still didn’t work.
FredMcD, I have checked and double checked my profile and I am the administrator.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don’t already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

FredMcD, I have scanned my computer today and it came out clean. I will try the Microsoft Safety Scanner and see if it picks anything up.
I have tried Microsoft Safety Scanner and my computer came out CLEAN! I am happy and sad all at the same time.
Run several or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
Okay, I have run every single program you sent and here are the results:
After I finished everything and had cleaned everything I tried to download again. The same problem still exists. Cannot download Firefox.
So I scanned everything again and these are the results.
I have run MalewareBytes about 4 or 5 times and it keeps on saying that 10 «Pups» (maleware I suppose) keep on showing up. Then all the sudden Windows says that MalewareBytes has stopped working. I tried to download Firefox again and the same «Run as» message keeps showing up. The first time I ran MalewareBytes it said that there were alot of «Pups». Now it just says there are 10 and wont clean. I have attached a copy of the message that keeps popping up and wont let me download Firefox. I don’t have any other problems downloading any other programs. Just Firefox.
Fix: You might not have Permission to Use this Network Resource
This problem usually appears when Windows 10 users want to access data stored on other computers, servers, and networks. After trying to access the server, the following message would appear, indicating that access is not possible:
There are several methods used by users in order to resolve this problem and we recommend you follow the instructions below carefully.
What Causes the “You might not have Permission to Use this Network Resource” Error?
Check out the list below in order to see the most common causes for this specific problem. Identifying the correct cause is the first step in resolving the problem successfully and you should definitely check this out:
Solution 1: Turning on file and printer sharing
If several computers are connected to a printer, there should be a host PC where the printer is installed. When trying to access the printer from a different computer, you might receive the error message saying you don’t have permission to access the network resource. In order to resolve that, you should definitely check if File and Printer Sharing is turned on for the network.
Solution 2: Adding a Windows Credential
If you are trying to connect to a remote server computer and the connection keeps failing, you might want to add a credential which will stop Windows from preventing this connection. In order to proceed, you will need to know the network address, username, and password of the remote computer or server.
Solution 3: Editing LSA Registry Entry
Editing the LSA key in the registry should enable you to connect to the remote computer. This set of steps should be performed on the host computer of the workgroup, homegroup, or any other network with a centralized host computer. Make sure you are careful when handling the keys.
Solution 4: Enable File Sharing for Devices that use 40- or 56-bit Encryption
This method is mostly aimed at networks where computers consist of several different operating systems which can sometimes go into conflict regarding the encryption used. For example, certain versions of Windows choose the 128-bit encryption by default which is not compatible with other versions. Either way, choose the same encryption for all connected computers in order to avoid problems.
